Make Your Voice Count on World Cancer Day
Hey, there. We’re PalabraApps, and we’re officially launching our company blog today—on World Cancer Day.
World Cancer Day is a three-year global cancer awareness initiative that began in 2016 and culminates this year on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Its goal each year has been simple: to get as many people as possible, all over the world, talking publicly about cancer for 24 hours. The more people talk about cancer, the greater the pressure on governments and businesses to invest in resources that further treatment and research—and the greater the opportunity to promote healthier decisions among individuals.
PalabraApps is proud to support the efforts of #WorldCancerDay, and we’re proud to deliver revolutionary technology that helps the front-line defenders against this disease—oncologists and their clinics—become more efficient and effective in their patient care.
Our voice-enabled EHR solutions save incredible amounts of time and money, but the value of a more efficient oncology note workflow goes way beyond business metrics. Oncologists who spend less time dictating and completing charts have more time to spend with patients or to pursue lifesaving research. They’re able to focus attention where it belongs—on their patients—and not on frustrating paperwork. It might sound like a small step in the vast battle against cancer, but think about it: More productive, less frustrated oncologists are happier people overall. They can go home earlier. They can see their own families more. They’re able to avoid physician burnout, live higher quality lives, and consequently remain passionate about their careers.
If you were facing cancer treatment, you’d want that kind of doctor taking care of you—right?
That’s why, in this inaugural blog post, we wanted to share with you why we are so passionate about what we do here at PalabraApps. We love our software, and we’re thrilled that it often makes our users giddy with excitement, but we never lose sight of the fact that cancer care is a serious business. At the end of the day, like you, we’re rooting for better care. We’re rooting for a cure. World Cancer Day serves as a great reminder to all of us that now, more than ever, it’s time to make our voices count. We hope you’ll join us.
